(88.3 FM, "The Rock") - is a radio station located at Chesterton High School, in Chesterton, Indiana. The transmitter is located at Chesterton Middle School. WDSO is a non-profit high school station that plays a variety of rock music during the day and individualized afterschool shows. All of the disc jockeys are high school students, ranging from freshmen to seniors. To be DJ for the radio station, students must take the semester long Introduction to Radio/TV class. To become a DJ, the student must complete a series of tasks. WDSO participated in High School Radio Day on April 24th, 2013. Students broadcasted in the cafeteria of CHS and there were on-air give aways during the day. WDSO will be participating in 2014 as well. |
