Welcome to Westchester Intermediate School

  • Going Green Week is coming up! On February 13 we will be "reusing" old denim/jeans to make shoes for children in Uganda. If you are interested in more information on the project, visit www.solehope.org. We will be collecting:
    • old jeans
    • Thin plastic (lids from cottage cheese containers, milk jugs)

  • Volunteers We Need Your Help!

    WIS Family,

     

    Here is an opportunity for you to get involved at WIS. If you are interested in helping us make our events go just a little more smoothly, we would love your help. We are looking for volunteers to help our visitors sign-in to events such as concerts, awards ceremonies, poetry readings, etc. If you are interested, please fill out the attached form and contact me (shawn.longacre@duneland.k12.in.us ).

    Fifth grade students will be taking a field trip to the Challenger Learning Center during the month of February. Permission forms have been sent home and must be turned in with payment on or before February 6, 2015. If you have misplaced your permission form you can download and print a new one from our Documents and Forms page !

  • Hannah's Hope Pop Tab Wars
     
    pop tabs From January 5th - January 30th Westchester will be collecting pop can tabs and competing in the 2014-2015 Hannah's Hope Pop Tab Wars! This is a perfect opportunity to be involved in a project geared strictly for the purpose of serving others. Just save your pop can tabs and bring them into school before January 30th.  All proceeds from the 2014-2015 pop tab drive will benefit the families of the Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis, and the school collecting the most pop tabs per student will be awarded a trophy and the Hannah's Hope Pop Tab Wars traveling plaque!  Please see the attached flyer for more information about this event!
